Words you will keep seeing

AI (artificial intelligence)
Software that has read a huge amount of human writing and can now write, answer, plan and sort for you.
Digital employee
Software that does a job in your business, answering, chasing, booking, record-keeping, and keeps a log of what it did.
Agent
Software that starts work on its own and keeps going until it finishes, instead of waiting for you to type something.
Token
The unit AI companies charge by. A million of them cost about $2 at Google’s October 2026 price, roughly three quarters of a million words.
Context
The background AI needs, your prices, policies and past replies, so it answers from your business rather than guesswork.
Trial (pilot)
A first try of a new tool in one small part of the business, before anyone commits to it fully.
Authority Line
The rule drawn before anything runs: below the line the software acts alone, above the line a person decides.
